Maria Andersson (supercentarian)

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Maria Eufrosyne Andersson (24 December 1828?,[1] Viipuri – 24 August 1946, Helsinki) is, at the claimed age of 117 years and 243 days, a claimant to have been the longest-lived Finn ever. Her exact date of birth cannot be completely proven as many of the documents located in her birth town were destroyed during World War II.

Andersson started to work as a maid servant at an early age. Later in her life she earned her living by selling flowers. Andersson never married and had no children.[citation needed]

She moved to the Finnish capital, Helsinki, at the age of seven, and lived thre for the rest of her life. Maria Rothovius (1887–2000, 112 years 259 days) is the oldest Finn whose lifespan has been verified.[2]
