Maria Caruso
Maria Angelica Caruso is an American dancer, choreographer, and artistic director. She is the founder of Bodiography, a Pittsburgh-based dance organization that includes a contemporary ballet company and several affiliated training programs.[1]
Caruso has created works for Bodiography and for various companies and academic institutions in the United States and internationally. Her solo concert Metamorphosis was presented off-Broadway in 2021,[2] followed by a limited engagement in London's West End in 2022.[3]
In 2024, she premiered another solo work, Incarnation, at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.[4]
Caruso served as chair of the Performing Arts Department at La Roche University from 2010 to 2025, where she contributed to curriculum development in dance and performing arts.[5]
