Mark Atkinson is an American actor and filmmaker who appeared in the show Selena: The Series, the film Kung Fu Ghost and produced the Dick Shawn biopic Leave 'Em Laughing. Atkinson won Best Supporting Actor at World Music & Independent Film Festival for his performance in Skin: The Movie and was nominated at Oceanside International Film Festival for the film Lucky.
Early life[edit]
After graduating from South Kingstown High School in 1997, Atkinson received a bachelor's degree after four years at University of Rhode Island.[1]
Career[edit]
Atkinson took up acting in San Diego, creating several films before landing a small role in Selena: The Series in 2020.[2] Around the same time, he produced the Dick Shawn film Leave 'Em Laughing and The Power Agent.[3]
Atkinson was nominated for his performance in Lucky at the Oceanside International Film Festival in 2019.[4] He has performed in films such as What's The Vig?, Forgotten Hero, Old Aquatics, Dark Harbor[5] and won Best Supporting Actor at World Music & Independent Film Festival for Skin: The Movie in 2020.[6]
