Mark Sheldon
Mark Sheldon is an American politician, businessman and former Chairman of Panama City Beach Planning Board. Mark Sheldon was elected Panama City Beach Mayor on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. [1]
Sheldon won the mayoral race after defeating Josie Strange with nearly 60% of the vote. During his first interview as Mayor, Sheldon stated: “Even though there’s many things many challenges ahead of us right now with COVID-19, the beaches being closed; We have a lot of work to do in moving forward getting the work done is what’s important. The residents put their trust in me to get the work done and now it’s time to be a servant for our community". [2][3]
