Mark Vomacka Larson (born in 1980) is an American attorney[1][2] who focuses on workers' compensation.[3][4][5] Mark Larson is currently a partner at Larson, Larson & Dauer, ALC.[6][7][8][9][10][11][12]

Early Life

Mark Larson was born in Glendale, California and raised in Camarillo, California. He is the biological son of an Olympic athlete for Czechoslovakia and Rosie Larson. He was later adopted by his stepfather, Gregory Larson.[13][14] Being raised in a family of attorneys and watching insurance companies deny benefits to rightful parties sparked Mark’s passion for law and fighting cases against insurance companies.[13][14]

Education

Mark Larson attended California Polytechnic University, where he studied business marketing and obtained a Bachelor’s of Science.[15] He then graduated from the Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles with a Juris Doctor and was admitted to the California Bar in 2012.[16][17]

Career

Mark Larson began his legal career at the age of seventeen as a law clerk.[18][19] Before law school, he worked in the entertainment industry licensing movies around the world. After becoming an attorney, he started shifting towards complex litigation cases that involved people suffering from serious disabling injuries.[20] He has always focused on working with an approach of recovering compensation from the rich and powerful and giving it back to the ones who are needy and deserving.[21]

Prior to working at Larson, Larson & Dauer, ALC., Mark was working in civil litigation at Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley, LLP. After he started working at Larson, Larson & Dauer, ALC.,[22][23] his uncle Timothy Larson taught Mark the nuances of workers compensation claims and how to maximize the damages that their clients receive.[18][24] He has also been associated with the handling of the Lockheed Martin toxic litigation. His office sought $1.5 Billion from Lockheed Martin and represented around 1400 claimants.[25]

Larson is a contributing author at Forbes and ListaLegal.[26][27]

Awards and Recognition

Larson has been awarded as one of the 10 Best Attorneys by American Institute of Law, an Elite Award by American Institute of Legal Advocates and Top 40 under 40 by American Academy of Attorneys.[28][29] He has also been awarded the Super Lawyers' Rising Stars Award 2019 and recognized in the Top 100 Workers' Compensation Attorneys - American Academy of Attorneys 2019.[19][30]
