Marla Stone (author)
Marla Stone (MSW) is an American author, coach, and lifestyle consultant. She is the founder of I-Deal-Lifestyle Inc. and creator of the Clutter Remedy directory. Stone is the author of The Clutter Remedy: A Guide to Getting Organized for Those Who Love Their Stuff (2019, New World Library).[1]
Early life and education
Stone earned a BA in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. She also completed training in psychiatric diagnosis and treatment at Harbor–UCLA Medical Center.[2]
Career
Stone worked as a social worker and psychotherapist for 17 years before founding I-Deal-Lifestyle Inc. in 2010.[2] In 2019, New World Library published her book The Clutter Remedy. Library Journal reviewed the book as offering practical guidance with a psychological perspective,[1] and Foreword Reviews described it as combining emotional and environmental strategies.[3]
Media coverage
Stone has been featured in several media outlets. The Los Angeles Times quoted her in an article on organizing during the COVID-19 pandemic.[4] She was also featured on KATU’s Afternoon Live (Portland) discussing organizing methods,[5] and on WTVF Nashville’s Talk of the Town in a segment titled “Organizing Your Home and Still Keeping the Things You Love.”[6] She also appeared on the local television program Village TV Laguna Hills in a segment about The Clutter Remedy.[7]
