Marry Me, Marry My Family is a 3 part TV series broadcasted on SBS. In every, one hour long, episode, the series follows 2 cross-cultural couples in preparation for their wedding.
Synopsis[edit]
A third of all weddings to take place in Australia feature a blend of different religions, cultures and traditions. Marry Me, Marry My Family follows six couples with different backgrounds as they navigate the minefield of the cross-cultural wedding: trying to appease their families while managing cultural clashes, incompatible traditions and familial misunderstandings. All they want is to make it down the aisle, but first they’ll have to brave the community judgement and pressure that accompanies stepping away from the plans their families have mapped out for their futures and choosing to pursue love in unexpected places. They say the course of true love never did run smooth, but these couples have yet to learn whether it’s possible to both maintain their cultural identities and follow their hearts.[1][2]
