Martin Zeileis (born 21 September 1964 in Vienna) is a sailor from Austria, together with Karl Haist (helmsman) and Patrick Wichmann (foredeck), Zeileis won second place during the 2012 European Soling Championship.[2][21] With this team he became the Best Europeans in this series.[22] In 2023 Zeileis won the bronze medal sailing with Peter Hall and Max Reisinger at the European Soling Championship at Warnemünde (Germany).

Sailing career

Martin Zeileis has an impressive career as Soling crew since the mid 80's of the 20th century. He holds several national Soling titles in Austria,[6] Germany[23] and United States[17][18] and celebrated many victories in European regatta's like the Omega Cup (GER),[10] Erich Hirt Pokal (GER),[24] Alpen Cup,[25] Paris Soling Trophy (FRA),[26] Trofeo Dino Schiesaro (ITA)[27] and Campionato Autonomico Madrid (ESP).[28] Besides that he competed successfully in Soling Championships in the Canada,[29] Brazil[30] and the USA.[31][32][17][33][34]

Zeileis works at Gallspach, Austria, as Doctor of Medicine.[39][40] practicing rehabilitation at the healthcare clinic "Institut Zeileis"[39][41] Zeileis describes many mediacl topics on Youtube.[42][43][44][45][46][47][48]
