Martyn Iles (1989 – ) Managing Director of the Australian Christian Lobby Martyn Iles is a lawyer and an Australian political lobbist. He is currently the Managing Director of the Australian Christian Lobby.
Martyn Iles is a lawyer and an Australian political lobbyist. Since February 2018 he is the Managing Director of the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL).[1][2][3]
Iles was the chief of staff at the of the Australian Christian Lobby 2014 to 2016.[4]
Iles has lobbied on behalf of those who have concerns about abortion and for those supporting traditional marriage.[5][6]
He has argued against local governments becoming involved in same-sex marriage debates.[7]
Iles has said that there is evidence of the, “purging of certain ideas in public discourse” with people with traditional views not being permitted to express them publicly.[8]
He has lobbied for changes in freedom of speech laws.[9]
Perth Theatre Trust overturned a ban on Iles' biblical perspectives show.[10]
