Marvin Evans

Born in April 2006, Marvin Louis Evans is a popular social media icon known for his viral TikTok in which he gets his Driver's License photo taken with a pasta strainer^[1] on his head. His short video quickly gained popularity and left Marvin with over 8 million views, 2 million likes and a following of almost 10,000 (As of March 2023). The idea originated from the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster^[2] where members refer to themselves as 'Pastafarian' and wear pasta strainers on their heads. Recently we have seen individuals expressing their Pastafarian identity in their driver's license photos by wearing their religious garments, as of today this is legal in countries like Canada, the United Arab Emirates and New Zealand. Some individuals have speculated that Marvin isn't actually Pastafarian and instead used their identity to wear a pasta strainer in his photo for personal reasons. These claims have since been disputed after a viewer requested the official Pastafarian register where Marvin Evans' name was present.

Career

Since his successful video, Evans has founded the skate brand "WEBSTATE" showing off their apparel products on his TikTok page. Featured in their videos is a first look into the WEBSTATE Hoodie, a hoodie specifically designed for skaters. As of right now it isn't clear when WEBSTATE will be launched to the public but future customers can sign up to their mailing list for early access to their product launch.
