Mary Anne Jagger
Born in 1849 and living until 1936, Mary Anne Jagger was known in the Honley community for her work as a Postmistress but also her writing books such as A History of Honley which had a particular focus on the Parish Church of St Mary’s[1]. [2] She also published "Is Love a Crime?" and Rookery Mill in 1886, then Some Account of Parish Church of St Mary’s Honley which was printed in multiple newspapers.[3]
