Mary Tate (born March 8, 1957) is an American musician. She is the lead guitarist and vocalist of the pop band Tate Sisters, which also consists of her five sisters, Lucy, Julienne, Amber, Elena, Ellen and Judy. She has a recognizably optimistic and girlish voice.

Personal life
In 1980, Tate met Max Wright while working as an assistant in Nashville General Hospital. In an interview with NBC, he and Tate were married on June 2, 1981, and she knew that Wright wanted to have children and that Tate had "a crush on him."
