Mary Waterhouse Rice is a civic leader and philanthropist who is Hawaiian. She was born in 1847 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia and died in 1933.[1]
William Hyde Rice married Mary Rice, and they were married for 52 years. They had 8 children before his death in 1924. William Henry Rice was their oldest child.[2] Their home when they were married was at Hale Nani in Lihue.[3]
