Masoud Shafaghi (Persian: مسعود شفقی, born 31 August 1985) is an Iranian author, inventor and one of his contribution and registered patents is in water filtration and purifying system. Shafaghi is a recipient of WIPO prize and has been awarded WIPO best inventor prize in 2014 for his invention. He is the Strategic Planning, Coordinator and Executive Office Manager at International Federation of Inventors Associations IFIA, a non-profit organization founded in 1968 - IFIA Office in Geneva, Switzerland.

Early life

Shafaghi was born on 31 August 1985 in Tehran, Iran. His father has worked in Military service. Shafaghi is the last child and has two brothers and two sisters. He attended primary and secondary education in Tehran. Shafaghi studied in civil engineering for Bachelor's degree and graduated and received a master's degree in business management. He also holds Doctorates of Business Administration.

Career

In 2014 Shafaghi begin his career as a Strategic Planning Manager and Coordinator in IFIA (2014-present) and also served as an editor of the IFIA magazine publications. IFIA Magazine is <copyright violation removed>.

In 2021 he was appointed as the Executive Office Managerof the Geneva (IFIA) office by the President of IFIA. He currently serves on the board of international inventions events in multiple countries and helped to establish many national inventor's associations in countries and hold different training. 193 organizations and countries are participating in this NGO and trainings annually.

He is currently a consultant on personal branding, marketing and trade. In addition to lecturing at the TED-X talk series, he was also invited to speak at several world-renowned universities in Canada. He is a international lecturer and speaker who raises awareness among the audience in several areas such as: inventions, personal branding, strategic management, entrepreneurship and sustainable integration of people with disabilities. Shafaghi holds specific courses to satisfy inventors need in different aspects. These training are in inventions fields as well as proceeding and developing the idea from invention to product and turning it into a business model.
