The show is based on the original British MasterChef which is produced by Colosceum Media Pvt. LLC. The initial rounds of the show consist of contestants from all over Albania auditioning individually by presenting their dish to the judges.

MasterChef Albania aired 3 seasons in Top Channel: The first season aired from 8 March 2014, to 7 June 2014. The second season aired from 15 November 2014, to 14 February 2015. The third and final season aired from 18 September 2015, to 1 January 2016.

The judges for the show were chefs Sokol Prenga, Renato Mekolli, Gëzim Musliaka.
