Matavos Aramyan
Matavos Aramyan, also known as Matevos Aramyan (Armenian: Մաթեւոս Արամյան) was a well-known Iranian-Armenian businessman and philanthropist. He was born in Yerevan, Armenia (August 26, 1895) from the noble Aramyan family.[1]. During the Armenian Genocide [2], Matavos was forced to flee the country and entered Tabriz, where he met Varsenik Dzoroufchyan (Armenian: Վարսենիկ Ձորուֆչյան), his future wife.

Matavos' works include establishment of the first Iranian public theater hall [3][4], and acting Dean of the first bilingual, multilingual primary school of Iran called Nersisyan School, which later after him was named Aramyan's School [5], along with countless contributions to the Armenian community of the time [6]
