Mateo Herrera
Mateo Herrera (born 1973 in Quito, Ecuador) is a filmmaker. Among his works are: My One Time Joy, Jaque, El Comite, Impulso, Resonancia, Tinta Sangre, among others.[1]
In 1999, he won the best film editing award at the La Habana Film Festival with Ratas, ratones y rateros by Sebastián Cordero.
In 2009, he won the Flechazo award, the highest honor of the Toulouse film festival, with his film Impulso.
Mateo has worked with several prominent Ecuadorian photographers, such as Francois Laso, Simón Brauer, and Daniel Andrade.
He has also been highlighted as a musician and has performed with various bands, always in the field of experimental and underground music.
