MathCelebrity

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

MathCelebrity is an educational organization created in 2007 by Don Sevcik with the goal to help students understand and solve math problems.[1][2][3][4] The website assists in solving mathematics problems from grade 1 through college and gets over 300,000 monthly visitors in 30 different countries around the world.[5][6][7] It is used and recommended by reputable institutions such as Canada College.[8][9]

History

Don Sevcik has been a programmer and math tutor for more than a decade and has a keen interest in helping others improve their math skills. He started math tutoring as a diversion from his corporate job. MathCelebrity was founded by Don Sevcik in 2007 and is headquartered in Berkeley, Illinois.[10][11]

Sevcik is also an author of two books, One Second Math: Homework Help on Demand, which focuses on the creation of MathCelebrity.com and Free Traffic Frenzy: How To Get 450,000+ Website Visitors, which focuses on the marketing of the same.[12][13]

How it works

MathCelebrity is an automated online math tutor that works similarly to Google. Students enter a problem or search a relevant term, and the website shows a step-by-step math solution instantly.[14]

MathCelebrity works at 1/3 of a second, which is faster than any math tutor available on the Internet. It covers more than 90% of the math curriculum from grade 1 through college, provides more than 430 calculators and covers 31 subjects.[15][16][17][18]

Students can also benefit from quiz generators to increase their test-taking abilities and practice problem generators for memory improvement.[19]
