Matheus Freire Soares de Oliveira (born June 23, 2000), known as Matheus Soares, is a DJ, music producer, remixer and digital influencer.[4] He became known in 2015 when he began selling music beats on SoundCloud,[5] and in 2016, he entered the world of electronic music as a DJ with the song "I'm in Ibizaland", distributed by ONErpm.[6][7]
Biography and career
Soares has always been passionate about music, starting as an amateur music producer at 14 years old. He became expressively known when he started selling famous Beats Instrumentals ("Angels, Zoney, Irie, Gangster, Beatzoney, Lost") in 2015 to great artists in Rap, Hip-Hop, and Trap music on the Internet.[8] Meeting Chris Leão helped his artistic notability, becoming a great revelation on the scene and attracting crowds of fans and admirers across the country.[9] Influenced by friends, at the end of 2015 Soares began dedicating himself to Electronic music, after watching Martin Garrix play "The Weeknd – Can't Feel My Face (Martin Garrix Remix)" at the Ultra Music Festival.[10] This inspired him to release a remix of Lukas Graham's "7 Years", which reached 100,000 plays on the Internet.[11][12] Soares signed a contract with Hazy Records, who immediately released his professional single "I'm in Ibizaland", which has reached over 250,000 plays on the Internet and is being played at festivals outside of Brazil.[13] Soares has performed at festivals and worked on music in his studio productions. At only 16 years old, he has been remarkable and gained respect in the electronic music scene.[14][15]
