Mathieu Aubin (born September 18, 1986) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing for the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL. He is the son of former Toronto Maple Leafs centre Normand Aubin.[1]

Playing career[edit]

Aubin was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the 5th round (130th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He played four seasons (2002–2006) of major junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Sherbrooke Castors and the Lewiston MAINEiacs.

After signing a three-year entry level contract with the Montreal Canadiens, he was assigned to affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs. On October 6, 2006, Aubin made his professional debut in the American Hockey league with the Bulldogs.[2][3]

On June 20, 2013, Aubin was re-signed to a one-year contract with the Cyclones to mark his seventh season with the club, and second as team Captain.[4]

On November 7, 2013, Aubin was traded to the Utah Grizzlies for future considerations.[5]
