Matt Britton (born 29 November 1973 in Bray) is an Irish former football player and current manager of Arklow Town in the Leinster Senior League (soccer).
A full back, Britton made his League of Ireland debut for Dundalk in their 1-0 win at Bohemians on the 21st of February 1993.
Britton scored his only league goal for the Lilywhites against Shelbourne on the 19th of September 1993. Despite winning the League Dundalk were denied a place in Europe's top competition as UEFA excluded Irish clubs for the second season running. Instead they played in the 1995-96 UEFA Cup against Malmö FF. Britton played in the home leg which took place in Hunky Dorys Park as Oriel Park was unavailable.
He then moved to Ards F.C. where he played 40 games in the 1996–97 Irish League season which included 2 appearances in the 1997 UEFA Intertoto Cup.
He joined Shamrock Rovers from Ards in 1997 and won the Player of the Year award in his first season Shamrock Rovers#Player of the Year Award recipients He made his Rovers debut on the 15th of August 1997 and also played 2 games in the 1998 UEFA Intertoto Cup .
He joined his hometown club in 2000 and scored his only league goal for the Seagulls against Bohemians on the 29th of September 2000. He played 70 games overall for Bray.
