Matthew Austin Catterall is an English musician and songwriter, best known for being the lead guitarist and founder of the rock band Paradigm. Catterall is known for creating guitar riffs in various tunings and his heavy playing style. He is also known as a session guitarist for a variety of artists in Preston. He became interested in recording music after visiting 3507 Studio Recording with members of The Syndicate. In an interview with Blog Preston he revealed that he now practices home recording and has taken an interest in music production. He was given his first acoustic guitar by his music teacher at the age of 14 and later switched to electric. At the age of 15, he founded his first band, Paradigm (previously known as The Lostock Strippers). The band played a few gigs around the city area and disbanded shortly after due to creative differences. He then went on to write his first EP 'Dissection Section' at the age of 16. Dissection Section was originally intended to be Paradigm's debut EP but was never finished before the band broke up. Catterall then rewrote the EP as a solo artist, keeping only the name of the record. Matt's current status is unknown. He has not publicly released any new music since late 2021. Not much is known about the artist's personal life.
