Matt McCusker is an American stand-up comedian, author, and podcast host. He is the co-host of Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast with Shane Gillis.[1][2] He was named Philly's Funniest in 2014.[3] He has been a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.[4][5][6] Notable guests that have appeared on his podcast include Louis CK[7], Mark Normand[8], John McAfee[9], Danny McBride[10], Bert Kreischer[11], and Tom Segura.[12]
During the 2010s McCusker became an author with the publication of his novel, Overlook: A Story About Drugs, Disappointment and The American Dream.[13]
Personal Life[edit]
Matthew McCusker was born in Havertown, Pennsylvania, but grew up in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.[14] His parents are both of Irish Catholic heritage.[15][16]
McCusker is married to wife, Brittany, a Philadelphia-based forensics expert for the police department. Together the two have two children.[17]
In 2020, he received a Master's degree in Social Work from Bryn Mawr College. He has since started platform for learning about psychological health and meditation education.[18]
Comedy Career[edit]
On August 2, 2023 McCusker released his debut comedy special, The Speed of Light, directly on his YouTube channel.[19]
As of August 2023, Matt and Shane's Secret podcast is ranked as number one in terms of subscribers on Patreon with over 71,000 member subscriptions.[20] McCusker was previously apart of the Stoner Dadz podcast as well.[21]
McCusker is set to tour with Bert Kreisher's Fully Loaded Comedy Festival in Summer of 2024.[22]
