Matt Walsh (born June 18, 1986) is an American conservative political commentator, podcaster, writer and author. He hosts the The Matt Walsh Show[3] podcast on the The Daily Wire'[4]. He is the author of the books Church of Cowards: A Wake-Up Call to Complacent Christians[5] as well as The Unholy Trinity: Blocking the Left's Assault on Life, Marriage, and Gender.[6]


Matt Walsh started his career as a blogger in 2012 on The Matt Walsh Blog where he published political and social commentary as well as parenting advice until the year 2017.[7] He was also a The Huffington Post contributer until 2014.[8] Walsh joined the conservative news website and media company The Daily Wire in 2017 as a writer [9]and began hosting 'The Matt Walsh Show' podcast in April 2018 on his YouTube Channel that currently has over 225 000 Subscribers.[10] Matt is one of the most influential and biggest conservative Twitter users with a following of over 500 000 (April 2021).[11][12]. He is a frequent guest contributor on the Fox News Channel, consistently the number one highest rated news network.[13] Matt has had over a dozen appearances alone on Tucker Carlson Tonight hosted by Tucker Carlson, consistently the most watched show in all of cable news, as well as a few on Fox & Friends, the network's popular morning show.[14]

Personal Life[edit]

Walsh is married to Alissa Walsh for 10 years. The couple has 4 children together. [15]. He previously lived in rural Pennsylvania and worked from home but moved to Nashville, Tennessee in November of 2020 when The Daily Wire announced that they would move their offices from Los Angeles, California to Nashville in Tennesse.[16]
