Maulik Jagdish Nayak is an Indian actor, singer and musician. He is best known for Playing 'Montu' in Montu ni Bittu and 'Bhaglo' in Hellaro . Maulik started his acting journey from theatre and later was approached to play character roles in Gujarati commercial movies. The Gujarat film industry knows him mostly for his best comic timings, but very few people know that Maulik is a holder of Guinness Book Of World Records for playing non-stop Tabla [1].
Personal life[edit]
Maulik was born and raised in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Maulik never had a difficult time entering the Art field since his family was very supportive and encouraging, He shares a very strong bond with his elder brother, Anand Nayak. Maulik had a modest upbringing. He attended Gurukul Shishu Vidhyalay for both his secondary and higher secondary education. According to Maulik, he was never interested in serious studies, though literature had his interest that led him to arts. Meanwhile he found music engaging. He joined Gandharva Mahavidhyalaya Trust and mastered the skill of playing Tabla. He then started playing Tabla professionally. Maulik got admission in H.K arts college where he started performing on stage. Maulik has spent at least ten years of his career on stage, where he worked real hard to adapt various distinguished roles that over a period of time became famous.
Professional life[edit]
Maulik has impressed audiences with his sharp acting talent. Not just Movie acting, he has experienced various areas of theater such as stand-up comedy, radio plays, radio segments, vocals and theater music. He is currently hosting a very popular segment at Red Fm “Bako” where he enacts a boastful and enthusiastic Ahmadabadi citizen. He has been highly appreciated for that by listeners and Critics.
