Max & Maestro

Max & Maestr𝄞 (stylized spelling) is an animated television series co-produced by Rai Ragazzi, France Télévisions and Hessischer Rundfunk.

The series tells the story of the interaction between the boy Max, who is passionate about video games and rap music, and the maestro Daniel Barenboim, which was realised in an animated version.

In each episode, the viewer is introduced to a piece of classical music (brought to the occasion by Barenboim) and the most important features are analysed, comparing the moods created by the music with the attitudes and alternations of the protagonists.

Max and his three friends Emilia, Maurice and Leon have together a rap band, the Boombastic Ninjas.

The 52 episodes first aired on television in 2018 and were regularly repeated. Among others, Samy Deluxe was cast as a voice actor, who also sings the theme song. The music itself is by Akhenaton.
