From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Maximilian Heimann is a financial professional and entrepreneur active in private wealth management, real estate investment and international trade.

Heimann is a descendant of the Farina family of Cologne, associated with the perfume house Johann Maria Farina gegenüber dem Jülichs-Platz, established in 1709.

Family background and ancestry

The Farina family of Cologne

His paternal ancestry traces to the Cologne-based Farina family, whose commercial activities date to the early eighteenth century.[1]

In 1709, Johann Baptist Farina (1683–1732) established a trading enterprise in Cologne. His younger brother, Johann Maria Farina (1685–1766), developed the fragrance that became known as Eau de Cologne.[2]

The perfume house subsequently developed into an internationally recognized manufacturer.

Following the death of Johann Maria Farina without direct descendants, the business continued through his nephew Johann Maria Farina (1713–1792), a son of Johann Baptist Farina.

Maximilian Heimann is in the tenth generation of the Farina–Heimann line beginning with Johann Baptist Farina.

Farina–Heimann

The Heimann and Farina families became connected through marriages and commercial relationships during the nineteenth century.[3]

In 1833, Johann Baptist Heimann married Anna Maria Walburga Farina, daughter of Johann Baptist Farina and Marie Elisabeth Melchers.[4]

Carl Hubert Heimann assumed leadership of the Farina business in 1865.[5]

Their son, Johann Maria Friedrich Carl "Fritz" Heimann, subsequently became involved in the management of the perfume house.[6]

Fritz Heimann

Johann Maria Friedrich Carl "Fritz" Heimann (1848–1921) was a German businessman associated with the Farina perfume house.[7]

He entered the company's leadership in 1895 and became involved in the development of German trademark protection.[8]

In 1903, Fritz Heimann participated in establishing the Markenverband, originally known as the Verband der Fabrikanten von Markenartikeln.[9]

He became the association's first chairman in 1904 and remained in office until his death in 1921.[10]

The association represented manufacturers of branded products and advocated protection against imitation and unfair commercial practices.

Paul August Heimann

Paul August Heimann (20 February 1881 – 24 October 1918) was a German estate owner and a son of Fritz Heimann and Friederike Johanna Eugenie Kroeger.[11]

He married Käthe Lilli Erika Sello (1886–1930), connecting the Heimann family with the Sello family.[12]

Paul August Heimann was a Rittergutsbesitzer, the owner of a landed estate historically classified as a Rittergut, at Gersdorf in the former Prussian district of Crossen an der Oder.[13]

Rittergut Gersdorf was situated in the historical province of Brandenburg, in territory that became part of Poland following the Second World War.[14]

Regional historical accounts indicate that Paul August Heimann sold Rittergut Gersdorf in 1912 to Paul Sanne, an estate owner from neighboring Briesnitz.[15]

Paul August Heimann died in Wiesbaden in October 1918.

Wolf-Dietrich Johann Maria Heimann

Wolf-Dietrich Johann Maria Heimann (born 20 August 1910) was a son of Paul August Heimann and Käthe Lilli Erika Sello.

He was a Bankkaufmann and later pursued a military career in Germany and served as an officer in the German armed forces during the Second World War.[16]

Military service compilations associate him with Infantry Regiment 72 and subsequent regimental and staff appointments.[17]

He attained the rank of major in 1943. Military biographical compilations also attribute wartime decorations to him, including the Iron Cross and German Cross in Gold.[18]

Dirk Heimann

Dirk Heimann (June 1946 – 5 August 2004) was a German banking professional and the son of Wolf-Dietrich Johann Maria Heimann.

Born in Germany, he completed vocational training in banking before pursuing a professional career in Luxembourg.

He moved to Luxembourg during the early 1970s, a period in which the Grand Duchy was developing as a center for international banking and financial services.

Dirk Heimann was associated with the early operations of Hauck Banquiers Luxembourg S.A., established in 1973 by the German private banking house Georg Hauck & Sohn. The establishment of the Luxembourg subsidiary formed part of the expansion of German private banking institutions into international financial centers.

Dirk Heimann subsequently held professional responsibilities associated with HSBC Republic Bank (Luxembourg) S.A.[19]

A Luxembourg corporate publication from March 2004 identifies Dirk Heimann as directeur de banque in connection with an extraordinary general meeting of HSBC Republic Bank (Luxembourg) S.A., at which the company adopted the name HSBC Private Bank (Luxembourg) S.A.

Dirk Heimann died in August 2004.
