Mayur Shelke (A Real Hero)
Mayur Shelke, a railway employee who works as a pointsman in Central Railway Station, Mumbai. His recent brave act, shown on footage, went viral on all social media and received wishes from ministers, departments, and businessmen.
This video shows a child completely losing balance and falling onto a railway track. Mayur runs to help the child on the track and saves the child from a major accident, just seconds before the train reaches on the same track. This incident was recorded at Vangani Railway Station, Mumbai, and happened around 5 PM on Saturday, April 17, 2021.
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal took to social media and conveyed his wishes for his courageous act. The Ministry of Railways has announced an award of ₹50,000 for Mayur Shelke, for his courage, presence of mind, and bravery in disregarding his life to rescue the child’s life.
