McCormick Mansion
McCormick Mansion is a historic building at 1500 N. Astor Street in Gold Coast, Chicago. The initial structure was designed by Stanford White and completed in 1891. It was built for Joseph Medill, publisher of the Chicago Tribune, as a wedding gift for his daughter, Elinor "Cissy" Medill. It was bought and expanded by Cyrus Hall McCormick II in 1927, and he commissioned architect David Adler to add an addition, doubling its size.
The mansion was converted into nine condominiums in 1978.
