Solo Career[edit]
The group was born in 1999 . It was at the end of the 1990s that Rémi Tobbal and Guillaume Silvestri, accompanied by Steve Fraschini, started a group called Requiem Cartel. In a desire to stand out, they go in search of instrumental and sounds never before (or little) used in French hip-hop. Never better served than by yourself, they finally put themselves in the composition in which they excel and quickly stand out. It was then that they decided to work under the name of Medeline, a nod to the Colombian city with an electric atmosphere. It was in the year 2000 that everything changed. The trio meets, through a friend, Sat L’Artificier. The Marseillais, member of the Fonky Family who, let us remember, moves all the heads of hip-hop lovers who respect themselves, is seduced by their work. He then asked them to produce the vast majority of the songs from his first solo album, Dans Mon Monde. In 2010, even after multiple trips abroad and productions that crossed borders, the collective did not abandon the very essence of French hip-hop and collaborated just as much with artists of the "new generation", such as Sultan, Sadek or Seth Gueko "Interview a Medeline". .
