Medelita is an online retailer of medical apparel. The company was founded in 2007 by Lara Francisco, and sells lab coats, medical scrubs, and medical accessories. It is headquartered in Orange County, California, United States.
History[edit]
Medelita was founded by Lara Francisco, a licensed clinician and physician assistant, in San Clemente, California in 2007.[1] In December, 2015 the company moved its headquarters from San Clemente to a 16,000 square foot warehouse and office facility in Laguna Hills, CA.[2][verification needed]
Operation[edit]
Medelita produces and sells lab coats, medical scrubs, and medical accessories for medical professionals made from fabrics that are fluid and stain resistant, moisture wicking, and bacteriostatic.[1] Due to production, cost, and infrastructure concerns, the company chose to manufacture all of its woven goods in China and other Asian countries.[3] The company develops modern features into its garments for clinicians who carry phones and tablets. [4] The apparel can be purchased individually or as a group with embroidery, which is all completed in the company's in-house embroidery studio.[5]
