MediaCMS is a modern, fully-featured, and open source video and media content management system, based on the open source web framework Django and well-known programming languages Python and Javascript.
Developed by Wordgames[1], MediaCMS can be used to build small- to medium-sized video and media portals. As of January 2021, MediaCMS is live and released under a GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 on Github[2].
MediaCMS is being used by Critical Commons, the online repository of user-generated media maintained by the USC School of Cinematic Arts; Cinemata[3], a platform for social and environmental films about the Asia-Pacific, and Heritales Online[4]
