Medical Advantage is a provider of healthcare consulting, telehealth, and electronic health record (EHR) services to healthcare providers in the United States, including proprietary EHR software that enables a healthcare organization to follow all U.S. Government legal standards. The company also assesses the financial and administrative efficiency of healthcare practices, and provides guidance for how a practice can improve its revenue and streamline its internal procedures.[1]
Medical Advantage helps healthcare providers[2] maintain and update the EHR[3] for each patient securely and accurately, otherwise errors in EHR codes can result in significant fines and other penalties.[4] The company also ensures that healthcare providers have the most up-to-date list of medical codes for proper billing and reporting.[5]
Medical Advantage (previously called Michigan Medical Advantage Group before it expanded nationally) also provides technical services[6][7] and data to healthcare providers[8] and government entities.[9][10] Its iHealthSpot subsidiary creates and manages websites, online reputation, and social media for healthcare providers.[11]
The company is a subsidiary of the TDC Group, which is the umbrella company of The Doctors Company.[12] Medical Advantage is headquartered in Novi, Michigan.

- In 1996, 250 physicians of the Michigan State Medical Society[13] established Medical Advantage in Lansing, Michigan.
- In 2006, The company formed the Medical Advantage Consortium of Independent Physician Associations (CIPA).[14]
- In 2014, The Doctors Company acquired Medical Advantage Group.[15]
- In 2021, Medical Advantage acquired iHealthSpot,[11] a digital medical marketing agency based in Greenacres, Florida.
- In 2022, Medical Advantage launched NP Advantage, which is a subsidiary to help nurse practitioners start and maintain their own healthcare practices.[16]
