Mele Apana is a veteran radio broadcast personality, entertainer, actress, and emcee in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is Hawaii's most revered emcee, hosting and producing sold-out concerts throughout Hawaii and the continental U.S. She is best known for her radio show, "Da Kolohe Krew" with Shannon Scott on Hawaiian 105 KINE. Mele Apana has made multiple appearances on several prominent Hawaii events including the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.

KCCN FM100
Mele Apana, Billy V, and Shannon Scott championed many radio stations early in their careers. Together, they were able to build, establish, and grow multiple Hawaii radio stations that later earned top radio ratings in Hawaii.
In 1998, Mele Apana directly approached the program director of KCCN FM100 to be a part of its radio family. She had multiple stints on Power 104.3 and Island 98.5.[1]
Hawaiian 105 KINE
Mele Apana is best known for her work at Hawaiian 105 KINE where she anchored a morning radio talk show with long-time friend and Hawaii veteran radio personality, Shannon Scott. Together, they are known as "Da Kolohe Krew"[2] and featured Hawaii artists of the past and those who would be the future of Hawaiian music.
In 2021, SummitMedia Corporation, owner of Hawaiian 105 Hawaiian 105 KINE, issued a mass layoff that included many Hawaii radio personalities including Billy V, Shannon Scott, and Wayne Maria.[3] Mele Apana along with long-time radio personality, Lina Girl, was not a part of this mass layoff as they had already resigned weeks prior.
Hawaiian Airlines
Mele Apana anchors the Hawaiian Airlines' Island Favorites Music, a Hawaiian music radio station on Hawaiian Airlines In-Flight Entertainment system with Billy V where they feature prominent Hawaiian music artists.[4]

Hawaii News Now
Mele Apana joined the television news broadcast, Hawaii News Now, with radio partner Billy V, as a spotlight Entertainment Reporter from Hawaiian 105 KINE. Periodically, Apana and Billy V would fill in for Breaking News, Traffic, and Weather segments.
Na Hoku Hanohano Awards
Mele Apana has appeared on the Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts' televised Hawaii music awards ceremony, Na Hoku Hanohano Awards to introduce musical performances, announce award nominations and award winners.
