Melissa Turner Drumm
Melissa Turner Drumm is an artist and sculptor working in Dallas, TX. Drumm creates large pieces, usually eggs, made with delicate lace patterns made using a wax drawing and blow torch of her own technical invention. Afterward using paint and printmaking tools to engrave various substrates such as nickel, aluminum and copper.[1] More recently, lost wax and poured bronze and chrome pieces have continued to use a feminine pattern with traditionally masculine industrial materials. These are celebrations of family from Fertility to various trophies and political topics.
Personal Life[edit]
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Drumm attended the Master of Fine Arts degee in Painting Study from Bard College in Annadale-on-Hudson, New York and her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Printmaking from Newcomb College, Louisiana.[2]Drumm also studied at St. Martin’s School of Design in London, England for undergraduate studies.

Drumm is currently part of the collective of artists in the Cedars Union in Dallas. [3] She also has a studio in Preston Hollow. [1] Her work has been featured in exhibitions in New York, Paris, London, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Dallas. [2]
