Melvin Wong Hwang Chee, is a Malaysian entrepreneur and speaker.[1] [2]


In 2005, he started the company Just Mobile. It later expanded to another company, called FanXT. Wong sold that company in 2016. [3][4][5]

In 2012, Wong was part of the GIST Journey in United States, which was organized by Global Innovation through Science and Technology Initiative, a U.S. Department of State program that supports young science and technology innovators who are working to commercialize their ideas, create economic activity, and better their life, the lives of others in their communities.

Television Appearance[edit]

In 2012, Wong appeared on a television program called Make The Pitch Season 2. It aired on 8TV (Malaysia). In the last episode, he won a sum of MYR1 million investment from MyEG which he later turned down.

He was one of the final 8 contestants on Startup Asia, a television program that aired on Channel News Asia in 2014. [6]

Awards & Nominations[edit]

Wong has won local and international awards. He has won:

  • TiE’s All-Asia Business Plan Competition (AABPC) in 2012. [7] and also
  • in 2014, the Malaysia's National Intellectual Property Award in the copyright category. [8][9]

Wong's FanXT was one of the finalists in Football Business Awards 2014[10]
