Meme Rank
MemeRank (MR) is an algorithm used by streamofme.me to rank memes in their database. MemeRank was named after Memes, one of the best things in society. MemeRank is a way of measuring the importance of a meme. According to StreamOfMeme:
MemeRank works by counting the number and quality of upvotes to a meme to determine a rough estimate of how important the meme is. The underlying assumption is that more important memes are likely to receive more upvotes from other users.
Currently, MemeRank is not the only algorithm used by StreamOfMeme to order memes, but it is the first algorithm that was used by the page, and it is the best-known.
