Menna Shahin (Arabic: منة شاهين‎) born in 1987, is an Egyptian entrepreneur, pharmacist, founder of She Travels, and cofounder of app to fight food waste called Tekeya.[1][2][3]

Life and education[edit]

Menna is graduated from faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt and majored in Pharmaceutical Industries. She holds a regional executive in a multinational pharmaceutical company in Dubai, UAE.

First Egyptian woman in travel business for women[edit]

Menna is among the first Egyptian women who started a Travel Business Exclusively for women, where she organized her travels in collaboration with certified life coaches to incorporate self-development coaching in the travel plans. She aspires to empower women to build new connections with other women and discover more about themselves through travel. Menna is actively involved in social and community work and active member in Giza horizon Rotary Club. Menna has more than 500k followers on her various social media platforms.[4][5][6][7][8]

Menna is graduated from faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt in 2009, with Distinction accumulative grade and degree of honor. After graduation, She started her career working in a local pharmacy in Egypt. And after a long journey of struggles to prove herself and achieve her dreams, She became a regional executive in a multinational pharmaceutical company in Dubai, UAE. Menna has multiple platforms on social media that includes more than half a million followers she use these platforms to spread the culture of travelling, organize travels with life coaching programs, and provide information about different travel destinations. Besides, She is actively involved in social and community work in Giza horizon Rotary Club. Which promote charities in Egypt. On another hand, aiming to help the world to be a better place; she and other co-founder launched TeKeya in Egypt in April-2019. TeKeya is an application designed to fight food waste and to decrease CO2 pollution.[9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16]

Media appearance[edit]

Menna is an experienced public speaker, gave a Tedx Talk in 2019[17], featured in more than 20 TV interviews, interviewed with Google Arabia[18], spoke as a keynote speaker at the World Youth Forum[19] and held several coaching sessions, including a master training about food waste for future chefs in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism. She has been featured in over a 100 articles written about her initiatives in the Middle Eastern press.[20][21][22][23]
