Meridian Eco
Meridian Eco is a project launched in 2021 by Meridianbet, focused on ecology and environmental protection. The initiative spans all the markets where the company operates,[1] and in Serbia, it was introduced in collaboration with the Ministry of Environmental Protection[2] through a Memorandum of Cooperation. This partnership has enabled the company to actively support reforestation efforts across the country by providing financial resources and donating young seedlings, all to improve air quality and public health.[3]
Campaign Clean Air – Clear Victory is part of the Meridian Eco program.[4]
Meridian Eco also features a unique crowdfunding platform that directly engages customers as donors for various CSR actions.[5]
Goals of the Initiative[edit]
The main goals of Meridian Eco include:
- Strategic land and terrain planning
- Increasing green spaces by transforming urban areas into thriving ecosystems that improve quality of life and address urban challenges, such as air pollution and flood control
- Establishing "oxygen factories" by planting new trees—over 20,000 seedlings have been planed for donation, improving air quality and public health in markets across Europe, Africa, and Latin America[6]
