Meridian Entertainment, Inc (MEI). is a live music entertainment company that promotes and produces live concert events throughout different locations across the United States. The company also provides support for such events that include talent buying, marketing assistance, advance and on-site production support, sponsorship connections, and overall event-related guidance.[1]
History
MEI originated with the partnership of four individuals in 1998, forming MMCS, Inc. dba, Meridian Entertainment Group (MEG). This company was formed by Don Middlebrook, Kevin Meyer, Brad Coombs and Rick Shimel, all of whom had previously owned their own separate entertainment businesses but came together to form a single company at this time.
Middlebrook left MEG in the early 2000s to pursue his own independent local and regional booking agency and to work as a performer of Tropical rock music around the country.[2]
Shimel retired in 2014, and his interests were purchased by Meyer and Coombs, while he continued to act as a consultant to the business he had helped to originate.
By January of 2017, Meyer and his two employee children decided to exit the company and form their own family-owned and run concert business.[3]
Meyer and Coombs shut down activities at MEG at this time, and Coombs founded Meridian Entertainment, Inc.

In 2017, Coombs was nominated for the Independent Talent Buyer of the Year Award by the Casino Entertainment Awards.[4]
In October of 2020, Bucks announced that he was exiting Meridian Entertainment, Inc. to begin his own business.
