Cole Stevenson (born September 27, 1992), known as Merkules, is a Canadian rapper from Surrey, British Columbia. He entered the rap and hip-hop milieu with the help of local top tier artists and quickly made an impression on the Vancouver scene.

Stevenson started spitting rap at around 15 years old and eventually started rapping more seriously at age 16 when he entered a studio for the first time and started touring.[1]

Also at age 16, Merkules was brutally attacked after a studio session. The scars left on his face from the machete and baseball bat attack served as an inspiration for his album, Scars, released in April 2015.[2]

Merkules has been influenced by artists like Big L, Big Pun, Eminem and Busta Rhymes.[3]

Western Canadian Music Award nominated rapper Merkules’ videos have received over 90,000,000 views between YouTube and Facebook, and his music has had over 30,000,000 audio-only streams of his music. In addition Merkules' most recent album debuted at #2 on the main iTunes chart across all genres in Canada. Merkules has rocked over 500 high energy performances across North America and Europe, and is not going to slow down anytime soon. His raw talent, wit, and genuine humbleness has captivated a fan base that is growing by the thousands every day. Through blood, sweat, and tears, Merkules has earned the respect of artists and fans around the world, proving himself to be the next rising star in hip hop.[4]
