Methylarsine is an organoarsenic compound with the formula CH5As. It consists of an arsine base with one of the hydrogens replaced with a methyl group, sharing some similarities with methylamine or methylphosphine. It is found as a nonmetallic yellow or metalloidal grey or black solid, depending on the allotrope. Methylarsine, being a compound of arsenic, carries the risk of arsenic poisoning. It is found in some marine biological systems.[1]
