Metin Kaya

Muhittin Metin Kaya (born 1955, Varto) is a former member of the Turkish Court of Cassation.

He graduated from Vefa High School and graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1978. Started to work as a judge candidate in Istanbul; He worked as a public prosecutor in various provinces and districts. Deputy Auditor of the Supreme Court of Appeals and Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Court of Appeals until 2004. He was elected to the Supreme Court on 19 July 2004.[1] He was a member of the 1st Criminal Office of the Supreme Court of Appeals and later served as a member of the 3rd Criminal Office of the Supreme Court of Appeals.[2] He was nominated as the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Republic in 2011.[3] On 23 July 2016, the membership of the Court of Cassation was terminated. He was appointed as Ankara Judge by HSYK 1st Chamber Decision dated 1 August 2016.
