Mexican copyright law
Mexican copyright law is regulated by the Ley Federal del Derecho de Autor and protected by the INDAUTOR. Trademark is registered before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), which is the country's patent and trademark administration body. Copyright can be granted to works of literature, creative works, computer programs, or artistic works. Article 28 of the Mexican Constitution, which references prohibition of monopolies, does not consider a monopoly the exclusive rights granted to artists and authors for the exploitation of their work.
