Life and Career[edit]

Michael Alba is a Filipino drummer, instructor, music director, and arranger.[1][2][3]. He is the program director of Michael Alba Drum Program (MADP)[3][2], which has had over a hundred batches to date. Due to his several clinics that he has organized in various areas, he has over a thousand students around the world. He studied music conservatory from The University of the Philippines, and even graduated from the Los Angeles Music Academy (LAMA)[1][2][3] .

He plays drums for the band Yosha[4][3], but he has also played drums for various artists including but not limited to KZ Tandingan, Christopher Cross, Bruno Mars (for one recording only), and Lani Misalucha because of his session drumming[5]

M.A.D.P[edit]

Michael established the Michael Alba Drum Program (MADP) back in 2010[2]. He currently offers 5 modules which becomes more challenging as you progress[2]. He conducts his classes at his own house, but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, he now conducts his classes online.

He started working as a drummer when he was 4 years old.[5]

Michael was already part of show bands at the early age of 10 and he started playing as a session drummer when he was 16 years old[5].
