Michael "Juice" Beaty (born April 15, 1983) is a former British American football tight end who spent his whole career with the Birmingham Bulls of the BAFA National Leagues (BAFANL). He debuted for the Bulls in 2014.
Early Years
Beaty was born in Wigan in Greater Manchester, and after time spent in Glasgow and Canvey Island moved to the Worcester area as a young child.
From his teen years until his late twenties, Beaty was a promising[1] goalkeeper, and played for several midlands soccer teams including Bromsgrove Rovers, Alveston F.C., Evesham United, Northfield Town and Cadbury Athletic.[2][3][4]
He later became an integral part of the Aston Fields Athletic[5] five-a-side football team, winning nine league player of the year awards in twelve seasons, and went on a run of three clean sheets in a row, a previously unheard of feat within the sport.[6][7]
Football career
Beaty called time on his soccer career, and at the age of 30, attended rookie camps at the Bulls in autumn of 2013.[8]
He impressed early on in his career, making a difficult catch in traffic against the Coventry Jets, on a play that would cause him to leave the game momentarily.[9] Beaty continued to impress in his rookie season, making a spot on the offence as a flex wide receiver and tight end his own.[10] He made a crucial catch in the win over the Nottingham Caesars to put the Bulls within field goal range, although cornerback and temporary kicker Gareth Thomas missed the kick when it hit the upright. Although the season ended in disappointment on a club level, Beaty was recognised for his performance with the Rookie of the Year award.[11]
Beaty went into his second season with higher expectations placed on him. He was interviewed by Richie Anderson of the local radio station BBC WM, where after questioning, claimed to be "the tightest of ends"[12] and he quickly gained a reputation for reliably making catches, including a 30 yard reception against the Hertfordshire Cheetahs despite the Bulls struggling passing game.[13] In the next game, Beaty kick started the passing offence with a long reception in the shock defeat of heavy favourites, the Farnham Knights.[14] In the final two games of the season, Beaty stood in as kicker due to the absence of Luca Zigliani.
Following the 2015 season, Beaty made the decision to retire from American Football altogether.[15]

Personal life
Beaty lives in Bromsgrove in Worcestershire. He received the nickname "Juice" from Bulls cornerback Gareth Thomas, who gave it in reference of the titular character from Tim Burton's 1988 comedy-horror movie Beetlejuice.[16]
