Michael Blakey (born December 8, 1958) is a British entrepreneur, music and television producer, talent manager, motivational speaker and YouTuber, based in Los Angeles, CA.

At the age of 29, Michael, along with partners John Bogg, Colin Hayes and David Osborne, acquired Maserati UK and Blakey became “...the youngest managing director in the car manufacturing/import business”.[1] In April 1988 he was elected an associate member of the Institute of the Motor Industry.[2]

Blakey started his career in the entertainment industry as the drummer for Tidal Force, a 4-piece American rock band.[3] He was named one of the world's best drummers by Mapex drum company.[4] He later became A&R Director of Atico Records (New York) and was included on the Grammy ballot as Producer of the Year for Alldaron West’s “Safe Place To Fall” single in 1994.[5]

In 1997 Blakey developed a forensic software which enables sonic frequency separation allowing for vocals to be separated and removed from monaural recordings. As a result, Mercury Records released the Patsy Cline Duets compilation album, featuring such artists as Glen Campbell, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Crystal Gayle, Mila Mason, Michelle Wright, and others together with the original Patsy Cline vocals.[6]

In 1999, Blakey together with John Guidon founded 2KSounds, a record label that signed artists such as Brooke Allison, Gladys Knight and Sam Cooke.[7]

2KSounds went public in 2001[8] and soon thereafter in early 2002, 2KSounds entered into a joint venture with Virgin Records and Michael Blakey was appointed the President of the Record Division.[9]

Blakey was executive producer[10] of Ron White’s “A Little Unprofessional” comedy special that was Grammy-nominated for The Best Comedy Album in 2013[11] as well as certified by the RIAA as Platinum.[12]

In August 2017 Blakey started a YouTube channel as ProducerMichael covering supercars and luxury lifestyle. In 2018 the channel passed 100,000 subscribers and received an official YouTube award and certification.[13]
