Michael Currane is a former Australian rules footballer who represented Ireland at the Australian Football International Cup.

Playing career

Currane is a native of Kilmihil, Co. Clare and was the president and founder of the Australian Rules Football League of Ireland. [1] Currane and his brother Brian represented the Ireland national Australian rules football team, which won the 2001 Atlantic Alliance Cup and 2002 Australian Football International Cup,[2] in Melbourne. He returned with the team for the 2008 Australian Football International Cup,[3] reaching the semi-finals.[4][5][6][7]
