Intro

Michael “Mike” Dale Hayford is an American businessman, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NCR Corporation. Hayford replaced Bill Nuti as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NCR on April 30, 2018.[1], after Nuti stepped down due to health issues[2] the month prior.

Career

Before being named CEO at NCR Corp., Hayford was Founding Partner and Senior Advisor of Motive Partners, a next-gen investment firm focused on tech-enabled companies powering the financial services industry[3]. He has served as an independent Director of Endurance International Group since 2013[4].

From 2009 to 2013, Hayford served as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Executive Vice President of Fidelity National Information Services (FIS)[5], a Fortune 500 global leader in financial services and payment technology systems. Prior to joining FIS, Mike was with Metavante from 1992 through September 2009, where he served as Chief Operations Officer from May 2006 through September 2009, as President from November 2009 through September 2009, and as a board member from November 2007 through October 2009[6].

Prior to being with Metavante, Hayford spent 10 years with business and technology consulting company Anderson Consulting, LLP[7] - now known as Accenture - where he was responsible designing and developing a worldwide training program for all Accenture new hires.[8]

Education

Hayford holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business[10], and a BS in Accounting and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crossé[11]
