He attended Fort Zumwalt South High School where he played trombone, premiered his first piece, "A Keltic Overture", in May 2006,[4] and was the Drum Major of the Fort Zumwalt South Marching Bulldogs.[5] After graduating, Krueger was the Brass Director of the Fort Zumwalt South Marching Bulldogs for 5 years.[1][2] During his time with Fort Zumwalt South, he also served as the Director of Low Brass at O'Fallon Township High School in O'Fallon, Illinois and the Music Theory Instructor for SIUE Percussion Camp. He founded the Fort Zumwalt South Brass and Percussion Festival, and the Slide 7 Trombone Choir. He also was a private instructor to numerous students.[1][2]
